Poppa Squash was a collaborative podcast show created with Sean Petell. We began the show in Fall of 2015 as a live, improvised, synthesizer jam show broadcast weekly on WPIR Pratt Radio.
We were recieving “transmissions” from a “distant planet.” In the WPIR studio, these signals originated from our improvised synthesizer jams.
As the show progressed the episodes began to take on a surrealist narrative taking Britt and Sean to that other world to meet the intergalactic squash dj “Poppa Squash.”
In 2017 we decided to self produce the show from my studio and stream it to Twitch and Youtube. The improvised episodes took place on a distant planet occupied by sentient vegtables. The last incarnation of the show was a fully edited and sound designed podcast which parodied various media tropes such as: podcasting, sitcoms, game shows, role playing games, and radio plays.
