History Painting

Series of Ink and Gouache Works on Paper

2020-2022
Created during the Covid-19 period of personal and societal disruption, these ink and gouache works explore the psychology of memory and media archives. Using a drawing projector and collage-like compositions, the traced Gouache and Ink paintings are accumulated layers of cultural history and personal experience. These process based studies document experimental approaches to material, color, image, and temporal layering.
