“Night Watch” was a public video and sound art installation created in collaboration with Austin based architecture firm Legge Lewis Legge and LVL on the LVL for Creek Show, a 2024 public art program serving a downtown Austin audience of 20,000 visitors. The installation ushered audiences to walk between two large responsive turtle eyes, generated from footage taken at the University of Texas turtle pond, featuring native Red Eared Sliders.

My contributions included project conceptualization, filming and editing, on-site installation facilitation, and the composition of the ambient score. Rooted in my ongoing inquiry into liveness, perception, and post-industrial ecologies, Night Watch transforms projection and architecture into a hybrid, sensing organism—a turtle-bridge that appears to watch its surroundings.

The work extends my exploration of how technological and ecological systems co-compose collective attention. Through video, sound, and urban infrastructure, Night Watch reimagines the city’s spectacle as a site of empathy, where image, sound, and audience movement form a temporary, sentient ecology.
