About
Britt Moseley is a multi-disciplinary artist currently based in Austin, TX. His work is collage based, drawing from culture from a wide strata of time in order to build new worlds from a scramble of parts, envisioning portraits of daily life from a psychedelically sideways perspective. He has a BFA from Pratt Institute (2012) and is an MFA candidate at the University of Texas (2025). His feature length performance Buena Vista was shown at the Folly Tree Arboretum (NY), St. Ann’s Warehouse (NYC), Dixon Place (NYC), and as a pop-up performance space for a month in the 50th St. Columbus Circle Subway Station (NYC). He has shown other performance works at the Hammer Museum (CA), Wassaic Project (NY), LaMama ETC. (NYC), Special Special (NYC), and the Phipps Conservatory (PA) among other venues. With his visual artwork he has presented a solo exhibition at Three Four Three Four (NY) and has shown in group exhibitions at the Mattress Factory (PA), Rochester Contemporary Art Center (NY), Jane Hartsook Gallery (NYC), and the Box Factory Gallery (NYC) among other venues. He has received grants from the New York City Arts Corps and Wavefarm, and participated in residencies at the IEA at Alfred College (NY) and the St. Ann’s Warehouse Puppet Lab (NYC). From 2015 to 2023 he co-created the podcast/radio play series Poppa Squash (available on all podcast platforms) with Sean Petell, first as a live radio show on WPIR Pratt Radio and then as a self produced podcast series. He has performed as a puppeteer, fabricator, and video designer in productions directed by Theodora Skipitares, Molly Lowe, Shayna Stripe, Tucker Marder, and Maiko Kukutchi.
